Hello and welcome to Alexandra Park Junior School’s SEND and Inclusion zone.
Here at Alexandra Park Junior School, we aim to ensure that EVERY child is happy, safe and achieves to their fullest potential.
Miss Varley is our SENDCO and leads the Pastoral Team in school. The pastoral team includes Mrs Seabright (DDSL and Principal), Mrs Powers (Mental Health and PSHE Lead), Miss Thompson (DSL and Pastoral Mentor), Miss Yasmin (Pastoral Mentor and Family Liaison), Mrs Stevenson (Attendance Champion) and Miss Booth (Attendance Lead).
As part of their roles, the Pastoral Team, liaise with pupils, parents, teachers and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for ALL pupils.

Supporting Pupils with Medical Conditions
If a parent has a concern or complaint regarding Special Needs, they are encouraged in the first instance to meet with the SENCo. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily the Headteacher should be notified.
If you feel the concern is not resolved, please refer to the trust’s complaints policy.

Family Information Service
The Family Information Service (FIS) provides free, impartial, up-to-date information to support parents / carers with children and young people aged 0-20 years and prospective parents.
We provide information on a wide range of services such as:

Oldham SEND IAS Service exists to help parents and carers of children who have, or may have, special educational needs and/or disabilities; and children and young people themselves, in matters relating to their Education, Health or Social Care provision.
